Congressmen Ron Paul (R-TX) lends support to those protesting the April 21-22 North American Leaders Summit in New Orleans U.S. Representative Ron Paul (R-TX) sent a statement in support of a press conference held in New Orleans by the Coalition to Block the North American Union during the SPP meeting between President George W. Bush, Canadian Prime Minister Steven Harper and Mexican President Felipe Calderon. In his remarks he said “As we all know, there have been significant moves recently to expand the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) initiated by President Bush and his Mexican and Canadian counterparts in 2005. One such plan is to construct a so-called ‘Nafta Superhighway’ …”.
