Republican Platform Declares There Should NOT be a North American Union or a North American Currency |

It was not reported by either the mainstream media or even conservative talk radio hosts, but the Republican Platform that was approved during the GOP Convention in St. Paul specifically states official Party opposition to a “North American Union” (NAU) and a common “North American currency”! This is a hopeful sign for those of us working to defeat the New World Order threat to our national independence. The exact language can be found on page nine of the 2008 Republican Platform: “Our strong ties to Canada and Mexico should not lead to a North American Union or a unified currency.”
This is encouraging, but much more needs to be done. John McCain has thus far said nothing about the NAU. A mere mention of the NAU and a North American currency will not make this a major issue in the 2008 presidential debates or in the next Congress. And nothing in the Platform calls for a halt on construction of the “North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway.” Accordingly, while we are making progress, our anti-NAU campaign is only just beginning. There are many actions you can take during the election season to help stop the North American Union and NAFTA Superhighway. We defeated amnesty for illegal aliens and can do the same with the NAU.
Please call, visit and email your Congressman asking him to cosponsor HCR 40; and call, visit and email your Senators seeking a sponsor. 202-224-3121 It is important that we force candidates to publicly reveal their views on the NAU. The presidential debates offer a valuable opportunity to put the presidential candidates on record. Please contact the moderators of each presidential debate to ask that they ask each candidate a question about the NAU. Letters and faxes will carry more weight than emails. |

HOWARD PHILLIPS TO SPEAK AT RON PAUL EVENT IN MINNEAPOLIS DURING THE REPUBLICAN CONVENTION |
|
|
|
|
Thursday, 28 August 2008 11:31 |
NAU War Room Chairman Howard Phillips has been invited to speak at Ron Paul’s “Rally for the Republic” in Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 2. The event will be held at the Target Center (not far from the GOP Convention site) and 15,000 people are expected to attend.
The rally is part of Ron Paul’s “Campaign for Liberty”, a three-day event (August 31 through September 2) during the Republican Convention.
The event will highlight some of the critical issues being ignored across town by John McCain and the Republican Party – including the ongoing drive to absorb America into a globalist “North American Union” (NAU).

The Coalition to Block the North American Union has launched a new Petition campaign to pressure this year's Republican and Democrat candidates for President of the United States to pledge their support for American liberty and to publicly declare their opposition to a "North American Union" (NAU). This "Presidential Pledge" campaign is directed at Republican Senator John McCain, Democrat Senator Barack Obama, and the other candidates for President. Its purpose is to place the "NAU," the "NAFTA Superhighway," and America's disappearing liberty front-and-center on the Presidential campaign trail. So far, only the Constitution Party candidate, Chuck Baldwin, has prominently stated his opposition to the NAU and the NAFTA Superhighway. |

MAJOR PARTY PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES UNWILLING TO PLEDGE SUPPORT FOR AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE
Presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama have failed to pledge their support for American independence, indicating they may favor continuing President Bush's policy of gradually merging the United States, Mexico, and Canada into a North American Union (NAU), said Howard Phillips, Chairman of The Conservative Caucus (TCC).
Last month, TCC sent each candidate a request to pledge his opposition to the NAU and support for American independence. Neither has replied nor made any public statement on the issue. |
